Highlights of the Tour

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel. After meeting your guide and chef, you'll drive to Tarangire National Park (a 2-hour journey). The park is renowned for its varied landscapes, including its iconic ancient baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. This offers a unique opportunity to witness the interactions among elephant families. You will embark on a game drive through the park, with a focus on areas where animal sightings have been reported. While predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards can be more elusive, herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are plentiful and easily spotted. Later, you will enjoy lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can take in the beautiful river views and observe wildlife. Be aware that small monkeys and baboons might attempt to steal your lunch, but there's no need for concern. After the tour, you will proceed to your accommodation at a lodge in Mto Wa Mbu.

After breakfast, you will drive from Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti, a journey that takes approximately 6 hours, including stops, as you transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti, covering 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 sq mi), is renowned for its wildebeest and zebra migration, with over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras engaging in a strategic partnership for survival. Your primary focus will be the Seronera region, the heart of the Serengeti. You will arrive in the late afternoon. After lunch, you'll embark on a game drive in Seronera, enjoying the stunning sunset and the chance to witness the diverse wildlife. If you're fortunate, you might see predators in action, whether hunting or feeding. Later, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this day, you'll explore the various regions of the Serengeti—north, south, east, or west—based on the movement of wildlife. After an early breakfast, you'll set out for a morning game drive. Following lunch, you'll continue your game drive into the evening before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Note: Wildlife can sometimes be spotted around the lodge as well.

You’ll start your day early at 6 am. After enjoying a hot cup of coffee, you'll depart from the campsite for a morning wildlife-viewing adventure in the heart of Serengeti National Park, taking in the stunning sunrise. Although the morning can be a bit chilly, be sure to dress warmly. The game drive will continue until midday. You’ll then return to the camp for a full breakfast, which will be combined with lunch into a brunch. In the afternoon, you'll set out towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a game drive en route. You'll head towards the Farm of Dreams for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater for wildlife viewing. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with its year-round water supply and abundant fodder, is home to a diverse range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. The park is also renowned for its high concentration of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be challenging to spot. During your visit, you'll explore Lake Magadi, a large, shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, known for its large flocks of flamingos, hippos, and various water birds. In the late afternoon, you'll transfer to Arusha for your hotel check-in or airport drop-off.
